On the 31th of July we mainly drove on the way to Jasper national park, a road packed with lots of viewpoints, especially glaciers. Most of the time we could just park the car to enjoy the scenery, but occasionally we walked a little bit further to some remote lake or cascade.
Icefields Parkway

We stayed a little longer than usual at the Mistaya canyon to snap some perillous pictures, then on the advice of a rogue sign, 3 of us walked to a belvedere that wasn't nearby at all (and considering the annoyed manual inscriptions on the intermediate signs, we weren't the first to have been fooled by the lack of mileage!). After a quarter of an hour we walked back to the rest of our party who must have wondered where we were.

(On allait repartir).
A little while after we stopped again on the road in a area that happened to be a camping site. Only as soon as we had parked the car we noticed that in other cars nearby people were weaving at us… yup, there was a bear only a few meters away, giving a rough time to the bushes. Remember how only the previous day we had been so irritated by the careless tourist that did the same thing — well, consciously, alas. If it wasn't for the other folks I don't think we would have noticed! (We were about to leave).

At the end of the day we were still absolutely fascinated with the story of the kid fallen in a crevasse[3] that probably inspired the warning sign above, so we ended up watching all the Youtube videos of the Everest, where they leave the bodies as is as I learned that evening (!).

I had had a mind to try the tea house but the place was absolutely crowded and worse still, it wasn't at all the neat and cosy place the name induced me to think it was as far as the menu was concerned. On the way back, we split in two groups as my father and uncle wanted to go see lake Agnès. Me and my siblings intended to get back to town with a shuttle but it turned out that none went where we were headed, so in spite of our sore feets, we walked back to our lodgings through a trail in the forest, a really easy hike, which made me expect to stumble upon many families but we barely met a soul. Glacier -> home on foot only!

Who pooped in da pool? Who? Who? Who? Who?
A little bit later in the day, despite being utterly tired and very close to napping we managed to find enough motivation to go swimming. But at the moment when I was about to open the door, my father and uncle knocked to inform us of a grave news: Who pooped in the pool? Who? Who? Who? Who? No kidding, we went to make sure and there was yellow tape and all, crime scene-style. Lucky they didn't give any names because I would have that little piece of shit drink his own masterpiece.
